Shutter Speed and Depth of Field

This image works well,  the blue colour blends into the background softly. However it would have worked better if i had included other contrasting colours,eg red or orange.

I created this Image by turning the camera whilst focusing on a large bush I also altered the camera to a slow shutter speed.

In this image I chose to photograph pegs on a washing line, the reason I chose to photograph from this angle was to create an interesting view point. The washing line and colourful pegs work well against the roof of the house, it could have been made better if I had looked at other view points of the pegs.

This photograph was taken of an ivy tree in a driveway of a house. I chose to photograph from this angle so that I would capture the car in the background and would demonstrate an example of depth of field. I also wanted the colours to contrast against each other. I could have improved the image by including people in the background stood by the car wearing colourful clothing which would have contrasted better against the ivy leaves.

This photograph was take of my daughter, the reason I chose to photograph her from this angle was to capture the background and use a more interesting view point. The image would have worked better if her hands were away from the face and I could have photographed her from other angles eg from above.
