Steve Mccury Interior Location Research

                                           Steve Mccury Interior Location

A Photographer that I have chosen to study is Steve Mccury. He was born Febuary 24th, 1950 and was a photojournalist photographer. One of Photographs that he was best known for was' Afgan girl'. The Photograph that I have studied is called Train Station Platform Old Delhi 1983. The reason I have chose to study this particular Image is I like the way the photographer has captured sunlight shinning onto the station platform. I also like the way the photographer has used sunlight to create contrast of human figures and atmosphere in his image. Using sunlight is a tecnique that I have used in one of my own images of a tramstop platform. The Image I took was taken at the end of the day and captures sunlight in the distance shinning towards a tram stop in Piccadilly Gardens. By photographing during this part of the day in my opinion has created atmosphere within the Image.

The second phtograph I have chosen to study is called 'Trains' and is another example of an indian Train/ Train Station. This image I find intresting and I feel it almost tells a story. The photograph in my opinion poses the question, where are the indian people going and why are they taking bikes with them? In one of my own images I have tried to capture a story within the photograph I have done this by photographing people waiting for trains and getting off them.In my Image I have photographed peoples facial expressions to capture a story.
