Exterior Location Photography Research,Wolf-gang Moerch

                                      Wolf-Gang Moerch

A Photographer that I have chosen to study is Wolf-Gang Moerch who was born in 1948.Many images that have been produced by Wolf-Gang are taken of woodland, which is one of the landscape areas I am looking at photographing. Wolf-Gang has altered various tones and shades to his images to create mood and atmosphere which is why I have become interested in his work. His Images also capture good use of light falling on trees which is a technique I would like to capture myself, when photographing landscapes.

The Image below is taken of woodland, the reason I have chosen to study this particular photograph is that it shows good use of light. The angle of the photograph is positioned looking upwards which makes the trees stand out and show an interesting veiwpoint. In my own work I have photographed from various different veiwpoints to create interest to my own images. Wolf-Gang has also altered the tones in the image which create warmth and softness.

The photograph below is called Distant Couple. In this imageWolf-Gang has captured atmosphere and mood in a very interesteing way. The light shinning through the trees in the distance have created a smoggy feel to the image, the sunlight also works well by creating contrast against the trees in the foreground.
Wolf Gang may well have altered the tones in this Image which is an interesting way of creating mood.
